Washington Falls To Thunderbolts

The Washington Wild Things (45-46) and the Windy City Thunderbolts (49-41) met at Standard Bank Stadium for the second game of three game set on Wednesday, August 31, 2016. Washington fell to the Thunderbolts with a score of 2-0.
RHP Matt Fraudin (7-8) was the losing pitcher for Washington; during Fraudin’s seven innings on the mound, he allowed seven hits and produced four strikeouts. LHP Jake Stolley (2-1) earned the win for Windy City, and RHP Brian Loconsole (1-3) recorded the save.
Windy City tallied its two runs during the second and fifth innings when Kyle Wood hit a solo homerun, and Blair Beck knocked in Johnny Eierman. Wild Things David Popkins, Grant Fink and Ricky Rodriguez recorded hits during the outing.
The Wild Things and Thunderbolts will be back in action tomorrow, Thursday, September 1 at 8:05 p.m. EST to determine the series winner.
