Bring Your Appetite to the Ballpark

As taste buds change, so does our selection here at the ballpark. In 2016 we were excited to offer fans a selection of specialty hot dogs and a dedicated pizza window, being the first ballpark to offer pizza delivery directly to your seat. Fans loved the additions, so we are expanded our menu even further, including Fresh-Cut Fries at every stand!

Headlining the new additions is a BBQ Smoker you cannot miss! It is located at the First Base Grille, which will continue to house our specialty hot-dogs (our top seller, the Bacon Mac & Cheese Dog). The smoker will slow cook Beef Brisket and Pork Ribs, plated for hungry fans who love their summer-time BBQ meats. Heaping portions of spiced brisket will be offered on a combo plate with coleslaw or thrown on a bun to soak up all the juices after 12 hours of smoking. Slabs of ribs will hit the smoker every morning, sauced and finished on a platter with coleslaw.

“Nothing screams ‘summer’ more than barbeque! Fans will see/smell that smoker once they step inside the gates and be instantly drawn to it. This will be genuine, high quality BBQ and we believe our fans will eat as much as we can fit in that smoker!, Assistant Concessions Director Trey Stelma exclaimed.

Last season Papa Thingi’s was revealed as the designated pizza parlor during Wild Things games. This season Wings & Things will be introduced behind home plate! Wings will be fried crisp, then tossed in sauce to cover them evenly. The window will also offer Deep Fried Pierogis and Fried Mozzarella Sticks, offering snacks families and friends can share.

“Fans couldn’t get enough of the wings last season so we had to dedicate a window solely to them. Pierogis are a Pittsburgh staple, so we added them to showcase the heritage of our community. Take a seat in our new-look Left Field Bar and we will deliver pizza and wings right to you!”, Stelma continued.

You cannot forget about dessert when you’re at the ballpark and our Dessert Den never fails to deliver. Beyond our famous ice cream and funnel cakes, Deep Fried Twinkies and Oreo Churros will be added to the menu. These two American sweets will be coated in powdered sugar following a crispy bath in our fryers.

“We worked hard to find the perfect batter for the Twinkies and they turned out awesome. Everyone grew up on Oreos, so you can’t go wrong there! Fans come to the ballpark with a sweet tooth and we want to give them options.”, Stelma concluded.

The Wild Things home opener is slated for Friday, May 19th. Individual game tickets are now on sale for the 2017 season! Call the box office at 724-250-9555 to be part of the action or purchase tickets online at www.washingtonwildthings.com
